Excerpts from newsletters:

Spring 2004:

What does this quilt in the making have to do with literacy?
Check the August newsletter to find out!

Spring 2000:

Directors Corner

With the arrival of Spring, many people set their sights on gardening. This was the subject of an email I received. The person who sent it on to me was not the author and didn't know where it originated. With slight adaptations, here is a garden that all of us can plant:

Gardening God's way

Plant three rows of peas:

Pease of mind
Pease of heart
Pease of soul

Plant three rows of squash:

Squash gossip
Squash indifference
Squash selfishness

Plant three rows of lettuce:

Let us be faithful
Let us be kind
Let us show our love to one another

It is no garden without turnips:

Turn up to serve your fellow man.

Water freely with patience and cultivate with love. There will be so much fruit in your garden because you reap what you sow.

To conclude our garden we must have thyme:

Time for god
Time for prayer
Time for family

Shalom

Linda Moyer
